Helping close the digital divide in India is one of Applied's ongoing education projects. Funding eight full-scale Digital Equalizer Centers in Bangalore, students, teachers and the community are mentored on how to use computers and educational software. And, we've just stepped in to fill a big gap, electricity to run the computers. By installing solar panels on the Centers' rooftops, Applied Materials helps students get closer to their education dreams.

The Xi’an Innovation Fund in China sponsors various student-led research projects in the community, with an emphasis on microelectronics, information technology, and software development. By collaborating with three top schools, Applied has also helped open science and technology libraries for elementary and middle school students. Another way Applied supports education around the world.

Respect for the earth connects us all. Applied Materials’ created The Bright Future Card Game to open young minds to concepts of clean energy, sustainability and the importance of working together to make our planet a better place.
